About
Leanne is 22, lives in West Yorkshire in England, and pays for her dog sport habit with a boring office job. She graduated from the University of Leeds in 2008 with a BA in Classical Civilizations — like that’s ever going to be useful! — but worked on the principle that she’d rather do something interesting, rather than doing something that might actually produce a career. She does bake a mean cake, loves playing on her Wii, and won’t say no to a glass of white wine, although she was brought up on Polish vodka shots as her grandfather came from that part of the world.
Being an avid reader, undermybed.co.uk began in 2001 and was vaguely intended to be some kind of book review site, but it turned out that writing about the dogs was a lot more interesting. UMB is happily hosted by FO Hosts.
Leanne has been working with dogs since 2000, and although she’s mainly involved with agility and flyball, she would love to try her hand at obedience, breed showing or working trials if the opportunity came along. Unfortunately there are only so many hours in a day! She currently lives with three dogs, and has trained a handful more for friends or family, and handled a handful more than that in agility or flyball.
All three dogs train with Leeds ‘Owlers Flyball Club and All Four Paws ATG.
Most of the photos and videos on the site were taken with her little red Kodak EasyShare MD1063, although she’d like to thank Katie Ford, James Campbell, Cat Clark/TheModernLove, Sunnyside Photography, Nick Ridley Photography, and Sam Houstan/AprilMagic for letting her use some of the photos they shot. As of December 2009, most of the photos have been taken using a Pentax K-x dSLR camera with either the DA-L 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 or DA-L 55-300mm f/4-5.8ED lens.
